I KNOW Fish Oil will work... anywhere.. just spray it in.. it gets into every joint etc... where wax doesn't run like oil does it?? I've never
seen the wax they use on Cars in Europe etc... I don't believe it would be as good as fish oil.. but then who would buy a new car that smelled like
a fish??
I have read where VW owners overseas have found the label under the rear seat of the person who waxed the car...
A Wax operators certificate??? Maybe if the car got rusty You could "shoot" the wax operator???
I have wondered if You fish oiled - say a door - and kept hot air blowing on it - like a small fan heater.. how long it would take the fish oil to
dry. and stop smelling.... Maybe it could be baked like paint... Haven't You heard of baked Fish???
its much better to fish oil things in the summer... although at least the sun is still putting some heat out during the day....
I don't really mind the fish oil smell... it used to be worse back in the 60s & 70s... couldn't wind the windows down for the flies!!!!
cheers

One other thing I forgot to mention....
The el cheapo fish oil $3-99 etc - someone forgot to put the fish oil in it....
Good brands are - pressure pack - Motorpro - Power plus -
and also Motorpro in bulk 4 L... plus Auto One has their own brands now and it probably is one of these anyway...
There are others, Killrust being the oldest brand about but they out priced themselves about 20 years ago.... I wonder if it still smells like it did
in 1968??? I think it may be deodorised too now... No!! don't use it as a deodorant.... as the only way to get it off would be to shave under Your
arm...
and then You'd be a sissy....
cheers...

I recently used a bit of deodorised fish oil in some cavities (the car's, not mine) and it smelled very faintly for a couple of weeks. Quite
bearable and well worth it to stop rust. Keep in mind that the average daily max. down here is about 15deg, in hotter weather it would dry much
faster.
Ain't nothin' like the wind in your hair.

what about that penetol stuff.
it has a running agent that apparently makes it buble into and seal off every crevasse. |

So does Fish Oil... it then dries hard and can be painted over...
I'm not sure of the one you are talking about..
I tried Penetrene many years ago... it doesn't dry.. a bit like WD40... plus it makes rubber swell up...
I haven't touched it since...
A Large Pressure pack can of Power Plus deodorised Fish Oil with Rust inhibitors at Big W for under $8...
can't get much cheaper than that...
Well You can.. but it won't stop rust... doesn't do anything...
the el cheapo fish oil $3-99 that doesn't work.....
cheers

I sprayed deodorised fish oil in the doors of my EH about 7 years ago using a nozzle gun. The fumes made me dry retch. The smell went away after a
week.
I have weak guts OK!
