RPM vs SPEED


Type 1 or 3 with a 4.125 ratio gearbox and stock 15" 78 series tyres what speed would you likely see at 3000rpm and 3500rpm. 1600cc twin port stocky.

thanks for that graph, a great help. have a different speedo from a late model (14') wheels. not sure of the diameter of 14 versus 15" wheels, thought the speedo might be indicating incorrectly.

max speed of 190 on a 70's VW?. i only managed to push my 71 superbug to 130 :s. wat is the redline on these things?.

Wheels road test july 72 superbug 135kph max speed,just cause its geared for 190kph doesnt mean its gunna get there,its also at 6000rpm :o

cool. didnt think that was right. does anyone have any idea what a supercharged 1641 should produce. almost standard. diff cam and slight head work. with toyota supercharger? (in hp) ??
