Notch axle tramp
Hope someone can offer some help here.
Does anyone have experience with axle tramp in their T3.
I have a early notch with IRS and a 250hp Subaru.
I use it every day and i love it.
But it handles like crap!
Ive fitted WCM spring plate bushes and urethane trailing arm bushes.
With gas shocks
Its not lowered much but has alot of negative camber at the rear.
Is the problem the rear subframe mounts.
Does anyone know of any urethane or aluminium subframe mounts.
Thanks
Choppa

Hi
I saw an article written by Humpty about making a support that went under the bellhousing using the beetle mounts and bolted to the floor area above.
Type 3s have a nice ride but all those rubber mounts make them handle a bit doughy.

another one for you as i was telling you these are spring bushes from a toyota machine a bit of round bar out at slid them in ,you need a sleve that
fits in the hole where the bolt goes through this needs to be the length of you bracket * inside * so it does not crush when you tighten it up .
we run the same it the race car found to be good .

I cant answer your email.

The only way to make the Subframe mounts would be to take the car apart and machine each piece to fit.
As the standard rubber bushes squash and deform a bit as the mounts are tightend. But aluminium or urethane wont do that.
So itll be fairly long winded.
And i couldnt bare to have the notch off the road for weeks.
Only as a last resort anyway.
Im hopin someone has a kit or something.
Cheers
Choppa.
