Keys/Locksmiths

Hi Folks

tried today to get keys cut for my 67 panelvan, as i have planty of locks, but NO keys! I took one of the locks into the locksmith and later told me that they don';t have any info on the codes nor can you get any blanks. Thought this was a bit of a furfy, especially as some earlier threads suggest that others have had this done.

Vintage Vee Dub said they have blanks, so is it a matter of geeting a blank and taking the lock to another locksmith and they (1) either cut it from the code on the lock or (2) they cut it after pulling lock apart (??)

any help appreciated.

Hi

Make sure you go to a guy that does automotive keys, not a harware store or mister minute type place.

There is place near Vintage in Kingsgrove called RW Bridge, they have done lots of VW locks for me.
