Problems with my 2004 Golf Sport
Hi Guys im new here how are you all? Just wanted to make a post about this. I just purchased in May a new 2004 Black Golf Sport and all i had is
trouble with it im so upset. The CD player has been changed in the last
month 4 times because it kept stuffing up and yesterday i was driving to Canberra and the cruise control died on me. I was going 110KM an hour and
then bang the cruise control shuts down and i cant set it anymore unless i turn on the engine and re-start the car, and then it only lasts for another
10min. Does anyone know what could be causing this? its only a 40 day old car? Im so disappointed. The amounts of times i had to take time off work to go to the service centre is rediculous i honestly dont know
what to do anymore, i love this car but i dont understand why its having so many problems.
HELP

hey hey, welcome to the forum! If there's a solution, you'll probably find it here... there's a mega wealth of knowledge to be found here... sounds
like it could be a loose connection or faulty sender switch, but thats just a stab iin the dark.
good luck!

Welcome, One solution to the problem is take it back to the dealership, place the keys on the counter and say fix it, will be under warranty so get
them to do the work there and then, the dealership was happy to sell you the car and take your hard earned cash, dont touch anything as this may void
the warranty, i should imagine the problem will be a simple one....

can you find out which day it was actually completed? If it was a monday or friday car, take it back and ask for a wednesday car (best work day in
factory). You could save yourself a lot of dramas! don't tinker, like
volksfolks said, you have paid a lot of money for everything to work. Take it back and ask for a car to borrow in meantime esp if it's getting to the
loss of income stage. (it is not like you have purchased the bottom of the range there).. :cussing |

stereo
The stereos are fitted here in Aust , they come from Melbourne to be precise . The cruise control is probably the stalk , I've changed a couple of
faulty units . The actual cruise control control unit is part of the dash and engine ECU . It could be a problem with the brake light switch as this
switches off the cruise control if the brake pedal is pressed
Good luck and keep complaining cause thats what fixes problems
