lowering 69 beetle

how hard is it to lower a 69 beetle?. is it just a matter of changing struts or is it more involved.

You need to clarify what you have

Super beetles had struts and they ran from 1971 - 1975.
up to 1970 and 1976 had beams.

So being picky
Do you have struts or beam front end???

If you have struts it is a matter of changing the struts but if you want to lower and go 6" plus you need thinner springs as well.

If you have a beam you need either avis adjusters or another adjuster cut and welded into the beam. Sorry I am a strut person and not too sure about this. If you want low and wide or real low you may need a narrowed beam as well.
