What gets PAINT of carpet?! HELP!!

I do dumb stuff all the time without thinking... the other day I spraypainted a bumper bar up on blocks in my lounge, thinking that the excess paint wouldn't settle on the carpet...
it did, surprise, surprise!

It's not really dark or thick but there were a few things on the carpet which when picked up, left clean spots, so it looks pretty bad...

Do I have any chance of getting it out??!

the point of spray paint is that it sprays.. :alien

try turps on a soft cloth, and just gently try to rub it out of the carpet.. not too hard or you'll rub it INTO the carpet :)

Good Luck!

LOL how many of US do this and why? I got some oily grud on my carpet on Saturday when i was cleaning my deck lid! Maybe taking our hobby to far but your garage is as cold as mine , with crap lighting and no power you have no choice. Plus you can watch drag vids whilst working and not far to go and get a beer!!

LMAO, you are one sick little kid!!! Well according to you all...you have stains of all types on your carpet. The best thing to do is go to someone elses house and spray things in their living room. Then you never have to worry about your own carpet...but yeah try the turps or clr or something that will react with the paint and not the carpet.

paint vs carpet

2 simple solutions

1 If this is your house buy new carpet

2 if your renting start saving for that bond you just spent:P

try wax and grease remover if the turps doesn't work mate its what trimmers use to get rid of nasty mistakes and it doesn't damage the material. You can buy it from any car store best of luck!:cry
