Changing an engine and gearbox on a 67 beetle

If planning the mods to my 67 and trying to work out roughly how long the car will be off the road. Basically it's having a new motor and box and a 12v conversion.
My idea is to collect every part i require , get it all ready and do the swap. Here's a few Q's.
Can i take an engine and box out in one go and simply bolt the new engine and box straight in with new mounts etc. I'm going to be using new axles with the new box. If thats the case id be able to build up the new engine and box on a bench first , right?
With all new 12v engine bits the conversion wouldn't take too long , right?

Thoughts please

Dan:)

Hi Danny

It always takes longer than you think it should. You have to fit the gearbox & motor seperatly.
