T25 VAn Watercooled shaped Van with Air cooled Motor
Anyone got any goss on what these vans were like. i had a horror experience with the 1.9 watercooled motor and finally gave up.
What is the Air cooled motors like on these 80-83 vans like??
Any good or bad experiences or pitfalls.

These models can be converted to Subaru motor, and you will get a more reliable watercooled motor then.

This is my new ride.
Practically they are BRILLANT
Style wise - yeah i like it but i am sick of being told " its not a REAL kombi "
Mine is an auto.
No they are not fast or efficient on fuel. 16L/100kms rond town and 11L/100km on the open road.
MUCH more room than a bay and a heap better ride. Much more safer too with the front set up.
There is a decent storage area in the back as opposed to the bays higher area. Down side is i will have to make up some shortie manifolds if/when i go
tp webers.
By the way - mine is a Suth Efricun import and is dual carbed - not injection.
At the moment i have a problem with the auto where it stays in 2nd too long ubtil it warms up. Just have to weigh up if i am going to rebuild it, put
a 2nd hand one in or just leave it.
Dont want to convert it - just like the fact it is an air cooled.
Thinking of lowering it and doing it up a bit more.
In a nut shell - a better bus than a bay, just not as cool.
