Clutch peddle
Can some one tell me what keeps the tension on the clutch cable from the peddle end so the cable stays connected. I took the peddle cluster out of the
country buggy 9 months ago and don't remember how it goes back in. The book is no help.

Have you reinstalled the bowden tube?(flexible tube at the gearbox end) The tension of the cable holds it all together and stops it unhooking from the
pedal end.

Yeh, I'v connected it at the gear box end but at the front the peddle can just flop rear ward and then it can disconnect. I think I'm missing either
a spring like is on the brake peddle or a stopper.

From memory there should be a metal lug to stop the pedal falling towards you??

Thats probably right as I'v bolted a stop bracket on the rear bolt the holds the cluster in place but it's not pretty. If that is the solution then
I'l make some thing better.

Yes, there is a plate [used on most VWs] under the pedals that stops the pedals falling towards the rear of the car..
and there should be a spring on the clutch lever [where the cable attaches too]... You can use a longer clutch arm from a super bug to make the clutch
pedal easier to push in... more leverage...
