starter missing?
my starter misses sometimes, you hit the key and its as if it misses the ring gear? does this mean the ring gears buggered or what?
its a 6 volt starter in a 12 volt car

the best place to check the ring gear is from where the starter sit. the best way is to pull the starter and with a friend turning the motor over look
at the ring gear thru the hole with the help of a torch. you can also test the starter while you have it out there by solving the problem. let us all
know how you go

yeah you should be able to just use another set of teeth for the starter, the trick is me lad gettin hold of 'em! will probably have to buy another
used or reco starter.....either that or rig up a mouse wheel and find yourself a mouse on roids, al la something like sean eadie hahaha... |
