Dies at lights

Hi all,
I just had a brand new 30 Pict carb fitted to my 1600TP last week. Ran sweet for a day or so but now I'm getting the generator warning light come on as I slow down to pull up. If I don't give it a rev or two, it dies.
Any ideas?
