Another great day at the Huntley Hillclimbs

Well we had another fantasic day of racing at the Huntley Hillclimb on sunday. The event was put on by the Wollongong sporting Car Club at the Dapto
track, the rain held off for all the days runs and only appeared during the prize giving. There was only one VW there (04 Bora 4 Motion!) so it was a
bit disappointing in that respect but it gave us watercooled a better chance at a win. :thumb
The fastest run was taken out by a twin engined mini special with a Ovlov race car second I think? I had some good runs once the track dried out a bit
and managed to leave lots of rear rubber at turn 2 (I hope I get a LSD for my birthday) best of 28.02s, but lots to learn. A mate in the Bora managed
to cook his clutch trying to do a second gear burnout launching at 6K......hmmmmm AWD and a weak clutch is not a good combination.
All you guys with an L2S Cams licence should head down for the next one at the end of the month I think, it's about time Huntley is saturated with
aircooleds.
I have a vid from the rear of my car here, check out the smoking left rear at turn 2. Fun .....Fun.....Fun.......
huntley hillclimb video full run rear view 1.4 Mb

huntley hillclimb start video... could have had a Latte in the time it took
to launch .5Mb

You need to be a member of a Cams affiliated club (Wollongong Sporting Car Club!) and pay $80 pasos a year to Cams and a way you go. You can also do
supersprints/lap dash, motokarnas, autocross etc. lots of fun and good value I think.
