body bolts problem
Ive put a 62 beetle body onto a 60 pan now i cant seem to fit the front body bolts back on all of the others line up except the ones at the back
inside which I'll have to redrill .
are there any tricks to aligning the front one?
also the ones on the left dont seen to hane any thread left the bolt just slides all the way up there?
how safe is it ti drive it without these in place?

Hi Marcel
3 of the 4 on mine lined up but the 4th didn't.
The bolts thread into a twin holed plate, it sounds like your plate has moved. We got a screwdriver in there, lined the threaded plate up with the
hole in the body, and hey presto!
Bugger of a job though (get it, "Bugger")

Marcel Get some engine studs 10mm thread and insert them in the nut plates while the body is off then cut a small hole in the rubber gasket and
fit the body with these long studs sticking through the floor pan.
