Hi soulsurfer,
I live close by to u and am also doing up a kombi, i was wondering where u purchased your new window rubbers from and how much did they cost? Mick motors has quoted $180 just for a quartervent window rubber and their is know way im paying that. so if u could suggest any cheaper this could help me. Thanks mel1honey:thumb

usa

i'm a yank, and my folks are coming out at the end of september, with a bag full of presents!! I ordered direct from West Coast Metric in the USA, have a look on their website and look at the prices in US dollars and get an idea of what they local supplier has to pay. I paid 1400 australian for all rubbers including front door handle rubbers and head liner and few other odds and ends. when i called around here i was given estimates of between 1200-1600 just for the rubbers, i worked out that i saved about 300-400 australian dollars ordering directly. I am a businessman my self and I have no problems with the percentage mark ups here in australia. I would suggest that you look for shops that are in locals that have low overhead(ie rent) and/or have a high turnover that may allow them to get bulk prices and reduce shipment costs. Front door 1/4 window rubbers are expensive though.

Good quality rubbers are expensive, no two ways about it. As SS said, checkout the WCM website
http://www.westcoastmetric.com/ as it will probably be cheaper to import yourself.
As an alternative try a website called "brazil shopping" which was mentioned on a post a while ago. Brazilian stuff generally isn't as good quality, so it may not fit as well or last as long, but it will probably be cheaper.
