probally better off getting a S/H one from your local wrecker or waiting till the next swap meet

its got to be cheaper than a repair.

What year is the speedo or car, perhaps someone has one on here

I have a good one for a 65 model (just came out of my oval) if you need one. The only prob with it is the last 2mm is snapped of the pointer needle. Other than that its mint.:thumb

Thats a flat face one isnt it. What speed does it go up to. pretty sure u could use a spedo from 68 on

Ok, what I understand is that the drive that the speedo cable inserts to is rounded.
If you are going to replace the speedo eventually, why not just dab a bit of super glue onto the end of the speedo cable and insert it, just until you get a new one?

5 minute araldite or similar is better...
or plastic putty etc...
