PLEASE HELP!!!! lowering my beetle
Ha all
I have just lowered the rear of my 61 beetle another inner notch (it was lowered one notch when i bought it) to find that it now makes an awful sound
in the rear like it's bumping out, i left the rear bump stops out.
My question is... if i place the inner spline to the original position (stock height) and then adjust the OUTER spline to lower it....will this fix
the problem?????
I have done this mod so many times and never come accross this problem!!!

okay, heres the deal, i dont know how to do the inner splines, but asfar as i know the inner splines lower/raise the car less that the outer,
therefore 1 notch on the outer drops more than 1 inner notch, if you put ur bumpstops back on cut them down, i put them back on my car recently as it
is 3 outer splines lowered and raised it a tad, so my suspension is pretty much just the bumpstops....... looks over ride comfort
im guna cut more than the 1/2 inch out of the bumpstop to drop it down a little to level it out a tiny bit...... so take a hacksaw or utility knife
trum the bumpstops and put em on, lifts it up a bit and acts as a little bit of shock absorbing hehe
