Strange body molding
I was under my buggy today when I noticed this molding in the fibreglass- its between the battery well and the spare tyre well - theres also one on
the front fire wall too? Any answers as to their fuction????

ok the picture thingy wont work so i'll describe it... its a small box about 7x10cm fibreglassed into the underside of the car on the verticle plane
above the gearbox- another is on the fire wall under the fuel tank. I probably sound a bit nutty but curiosity has the better of me.

I think they are a handle of sorts to pull the body out of the mold. I have only seen them on manxs.

Yeah, my manx has them too, and I'm guessing they are for pulling out of the mould as well.

i think you will find the front one is to run the reserve tap shift rod through. mine hasn`t got a rear one so i can`t know about that one...

They are part of the body moulding process. The manx mould used the to assist in removal of the body from the mould. They are usually only on Genuine
Manx Buggies and there was one front and rear.

If you cut them open most are timber but a few of the later ones where like a plastic fibreglassy stuff ..
