Fuel Tank 'Overflow'?

Morning all,

I remember reading a few weeks ago about a fuel overflow pipe or something similar in VWs.....I didn't need to know about it then but might do now....

Can someone tell me where this overflow is, where it comes out, etc. Is it near the passenger front wheel? It might explain my huge usage of fuel all of a sudden. Thanks.....

near the pass front wheel sounds about right.. when i first started filling up, i'd keep filling past the shut off click, to i would have say "$30" instead of only needing $26 if you do this then you'll find it will "spill" and your car will be sitting in a puddle. so when you fill up, wait for the pump to shut off, and leave it at that.. ofcourse u can top it up alittle more.. as when it click's depends on what angle you hold the nozzle.. and how far in you put it
