Remember car yards are always going to be more expensive than buying directly off an individual, they need to make a profit. You would be better off
looking in the trading post, or post a beetle wanted ad on here.
Alternatively, as Barls said, if it is a good rust free car, offer the salesperson $2500. If the car has been on the lot for a while, they might take
it. If they've already knocked a grand off their original price they may be keen to sell.
Ain't nothin' like the wind in your hair.

yep I'd be in there soon an offer em 2.5k...you never know, they might have to pay the rent that day!
As long as you have the $$$. I always take cash with me when I buy a car and let the vendor see it..It is amazuing how keen they become to NOT see the
bucks walking away..Mind you I don't go round with thousands and thousands in me sky rocket...

the beat way to test it for rust and body condition is a magnet on the following points.
rear window bottom corners and along the gutters, bottom corners of the windscreen, in front of the doors along the strip there. when doing this look
for bubbles which indicate rust and if the magnet doesnt stick its bog. if ether of these happen its an expensive fix to correct the problem
