40mm weber or standard twin solexs?
i bought some twin 40mm webers have all but hex bar for my
two litre that has been recod it runs perfectly now but ive allways wanted twin webers will my reliability suffer if its serviced regulary?

From my very limited experience, the biggest problem is getting the linkage right, and was much harder with my old Kadrons. Webers have a much better
linkage system. That said, they ran properly when I first put them on the car, but after a month they seemed to go out of whack. Car has the potential
to go much better than before, as it did at first. I have heard that their infinite adjustability also means that they need infinite adjustments. I

If they have the correct vents and jets and its set up properly i think yule be sweet,take it down to wolfsburg motors at St.Peters if you dont want
to tackle it. |

I would go back to webers at the drop of a hat!
BUT
To do it cheaply and easily you do need to know a bit about carbs. It would cost a bomb to drive in drive out and have it set up perfectly and not
have touched a spanner your self.
IF you dont mind tinkering - go the webers.
IF you want great carbs and have the money - pay some one to go the webers.
If you are broke and are not mechanically minded and need a reliable car - leave it stock

alright i can bolt them on and cross my fingers they were on a 1776 type 1 motor i have new manifolds,gaskets plus linkages less longer hex bar .
and st peters guys the danish dudes are reasonable? and good?

Check this out dude,then have a look at your carbs check Main venturi size should be 28mm u can see from the top of the carb looking down the throat
it will be engraved 28 maybe with a torch.Then unscrew no. 50 emusion tube holder write down what u have.So u have to check N0. 50,49,48,47 and 15
which is the main venturi.From what ive read u should be after something like 28 vents,55 idles,120-125 main jets but dont change anything till u get

I would be happier with 32 vents.
That is what i had and they ran suberb on a 1600 but i thought choked on a 1776. I would have liked to have tried 34's.
Personal opinion - i would be starting with 34's

have a look at the last option here. AC.net put 34's in for a 1600 when setting them up. I reckon you will only need to tune em again if they have
28's.
