It would be much better served as a cockpit for a rollover red rover. Although - you might piss of a few blue ovals and red lions on your Sunday cruises with that tearing slabs of black seal from under foot!

Very impressive. It might even be reasonably safe.

I seem to remember about 20 years ago in the UK a couple of magazines featured a beetle with a Rover lump hung out the back on the stock transaxle and, if my powers of recall do not fail me, more or less stock suspension. Bet that was interesting in the wet. Anyone got the December 82 (I think) edition of Hot Car (Pommy mag, now defunct I think) so we can confirm it?
