Alternator Q?????????


Have just finished putting th buggy back together, but now am faced with a new problem.
I have an EA81 Subaru engine, and whenever the engine is revved, the alternatoir lights comes on. It has never done this before

Any suggestions????????

Very strange, usualy the light will come on when the engine is at idle, and go off at higher revs.
Got me stumped.
Being a Suby, is there anything that would draw more power when revs increase? A loose wire maybe???
Can you get a reading of current and volts from the alternator to get some better info?
Just a guess.

do u have any of the wires of wrong way round ???

was the alternator working before.

Get the thing overhauled

If all else fails, take it down to your nearest auto electrician and ask him to take a look at it.
