Gear ratio's again!

Hi all,
doing a search shows this comes up often, but I still don't have what I need.
Does anyone know where I can find gear ratio's and diff ratio's for IRS beetle's and type 3's??

From what I have found type 3's have a lower diff ratio than beetles.

Also, are type 3 GB's and beelte GB's interchangable?

The reason for this is I am looking into building a trike with a donor type 3 for the rear end. As it will be very light, the taller the gear ratio's the better.

Cheers,
Richard

Lbug gearboxes have a 3.88 final drive, the highest a available in a beetle or type three. It bolts straight into the type three. The only difference is the shift coupling is upside down in a type 3.
