CB Performance Crank

CB Performance advertise a forged Chrome - Moly Crank for US$399, does anyone have experience with these. CB used to be a respected company (OK, I've been addicted to VWs for more than 20 years,) but I've heard a lot about american companies getting "too cheap."

The URL is: http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=153

Have a look at aircooled.net. Personal opinion but John Connolly has a bit more input a a grass roots level than CB these days

I built an engine using a 74mm Naismith crank which used Holden starfire rods.
It is 74 X 94, engle 120 cam, big valve heads and 44 idf Webers.

It has been on the road for about 5 years. towed a trailer from Sydney across the Nullabore to Perth and back. and is used daily, and driven hard!

The bottom end has never been touched. The heads have been off once for a freshen up and a set of rings.

I would say thats a very good advert for a Naismith crank.

And it was 2nd hand when we got it!!!

That sounds good, how do I contact you, what's you company? I hope this isn't outside the rules for this forum, 'cos I really would like to support local companies as much as possible.

What's the deal with Naismith cranks? I've never heard of them before. Can you get them in 82mm? How much is the cost of the 75.5.
