Whats the best cam?
I'm after some advice on the best cams for a 1776cc for street and track. I currently have an eagle 110 on the shelf, but I'm toying with a 120
etc.
Any ideas?

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!

I went down the same road with a 1776- the 110 will give you a much better bottom end and be more drivable on the street. The 120 wil give you a
better top end, but you dont feel it.
If the car is stock weight I would stick with the 110, if its a gutted racer 120...

The combo will be going into a KG. I've had 1835 & 1916 with 110 cams before and found the 120 better with that combo. In a beetle.
I intend on running jetted Kadrons, 009 dizzy, electric fuel pump, 043 heads? worked and standard crank at this stage.
Any advice would be appreciated.

With standard gear ratios and the weight of the KG, stay mild with the cam, or you'll find your engine quite soggy - especially as a standard crank
won't like the revs anything upwards from a 120 will require... Try a good porting job in preference to spending the money on heads for your needs -
though a porting job on a set of 044s (not sure what your 043s are) would better suit your "track" needs.
A 120 will actually have too much of a soggy bottom for the needs of most even in a beetle (I know that will upset a lot of people - but they are
people who don't have access to a dynamometer or racetrack.) In fact, in most stock-stroke applications it will produce less peak power than the
110, as well as less torque when you most need it. It will, however, give an illusion of more power when it finally starts to work (around 3000rpm on
most off the shelf large valve heads.)
