im lucky to have a bloke that loves doing vw's
he's doing a bus for me now, i was there one day
looking at a section he just blasted & me being one of those
that know nothing went to touch the blasted section & a loud
NO came bellowing from behind, dont touch bare steel moisture
in your hands will ruin it.
wish i knew him when i had the bay done by crap professionals.

You would be surprised how quick freshly blasted metal rusts if you touch it. If you have sweaty fingers, it literally shows up in minutes.
