?Twincab pricing?

Ok - What's a resonable price for a reliable, unrusted twin cab kombi ute. Split or Bay, Nothing special - base price for moving up and down from.

How often do they come up and any particular failings I should look for?

Thanks in advance for bothering.

Not so sure on splitties. They will have a high price due to rarity.
Bay dual cab's will be slightly above the price of a Bay camper or bus, just because they are not as common.
You can start ~$1500 for a registered one I guess if your lucky, and cheaper again if your patient and happy with unregistered.
Rust free???? I don't think they exist!!!
Be prepared to pay well over $4000 for a good example though.
All bay's are good from 1600-2000 motors. Type 4 motors (1700-2000) will have a bit more power/torque if you plan to carry weight, but cost more to re-build if needed.
As with any old car check it out properly so you know what your in for.
Best of all enjoy coming over to the type 2 world ;)

Oh, just so you know, depending on what you want to carry, a bus is very quickly converted from anything up to a 9 seater to an empty van with loads of room in the back making them very versatile also.

Good - So there getting around then.
I'm in really no great hurry. Patience is the key. Yes I would like one now but I'd also like to win the lotto and neither is going to happen soon Unforunately. Yours sounds about right George, depending of course on the price. I've written your number down and will talk with the minister of finances and see what my equity total is at present. Slim probably since I'm rebuilding the Dog-O-War.

I am looking around the 1500 - 2500 mark for unregistered and running pref. Wouldn't say im in the market yet though. Just wanted to know if I had a chance. Type 2's do interest me and I may need one to run a business out of.

Good clean rust free twincabs are hard to come by. But if your patient they do come up. Here's a picture of my baby.

By the way - I particulary like the sticker on the windshield. Nice addition.
