Wanted: Expressions of interest in Split screen side pop outs

Hi all. I have found someone overseas that does brand new pop outs for split screen kombi's in bare metal. The frames are predrilled for mounting and have the bracket provision. I have not seen them except for in photo's. If people are interested I might get a few in. They should be around $150 MAX per pop out. I am telling max prices so there are no surprises. They could work out a bit cheaper. They do not come with any seals, glass, latches etc. They are frames only. They have been used in restorations before and are apparently very good. I am sure I could source seals as well. These are NOT the aluminum ones from creative in England.

Im sorry but I dont think many splitty owners would be interested as most go for the Creative ones, they are cheaper and last longer, and the quality is known.

Cheers

Cheaper? Hmm Maybe. From what I have seen they are pretty dear. But hear your point, they are good and you can't argue with that. Just thought I'd put it out there if anyone wants original looking steel ones. Might eventually get them for my own split as there is no way i can afford creative. The $150 was the extreme. Probably a lot cheaper. As long as I paint them up good or chrome them they should last out my life time.

Will check it out in more detial when i need them.

Thanks for the words though.

Cheers

are they stainless, they look stainless to me.
if so they would polish up nice.
i bought pop outs from creative and they were complete with all parts needed glass and rubbers ,i think they worked out around $200 each, its hard to say because i ordered other things aswell.
you should try classic vw pacific , you dont pay shipping and customs which makes it alot cheaper. well its worth a shot anyway i think.

That s what I was going to put, ClassicVW(Pacific) would be able to get you a set cheap, It would cost a lot more to have them chromed.

Sounds good. Chroming is always a nightmare in NSW anyway.

Just checked Creative Website again and they are A$89.27 per frame. Frame only so they are heaps cheaper. Just read you need to take 17.5% off the advertised price, VAT etc was included.

That's their advertised price minus the 17.5% then converted using their monetary converter. Obvioulsy does not include shipping or customs at this end. Includes the frame only nothing more nothing less. So yes they are not that cheap when you look at the full picture.

The ones I was looking at were landed here including customs for a max $150.

Then Again maths is not my forte. Maybe someone else should work it out. Marks will be giving for showing working out.

How much do some other places sell em for?
