WANTED. Bay Window NOW 8 or 9 Seater Microbus.

On the lookout for a 9 Seater Bay Window Microbus. An 8 seater will now do and I will chase up the little middle seat. Prefer 2 Litre but will consider a good 1800. (Anyone confirm the power difference between the motors please?).

Must be reliable and preferably with NSW rego I am moving to NSW in 4 weeks time and counting), but other good examples from othe states will be considered.

Has to be manual and neat and tidy as my family refuses to drive in an old bomb smelling of someone's jockstrap. (Don't know what they're missing eh!!)

Has to be a 9 Seater!!!

Please advise of price and cond and email pics to me

Thanks

Hey Preacherman,
Don't forget you can buy any 8 seater and keep your eye out for a front middle seat. They fit in above the walk through turning a normal 8 seater into a 9 seater. The mounts and extra seat belt mounts are already there. (I have one for mine)
I see them at swap meets regularly, so not that hard to find.
Just makes your options on finding the right bus for you easier.

As for 1.8L or 2L, in stock form there's not much difference in power or torque, so either will be good. FI is better than dual carb though.

Good luck on finding the right bus!

3800 v6 microbus...WOW!!

Now that sounds hot though i doubt that my Fiance will be too keen. What's it like on fuel... as thirsty as an 1800 or 2 litre? The motor is hardly stressed is it.
Is it manual or auto.. and can it be regoed in NSW?

It certainly is intrigueing.

I have been on the look-out for a long time for an 8/9 seater. It is just amazing how many have been converted to campers and had a pop top put on....

Anyone else with an 8 seater in good cond?

Did the fuel injection give more power or economy or just less fuss? How can the motors be on par re power. I thought the 2 litre would have more grunt. I am interested in what has more torque as there are a lot of hills in the Southern Highlands. Cruising at 100kmh would also be an advantage.

a little thirsty, but that's cos I drive it with a little too much right foot.
It's a manual, has a 2 litre Kombi box with Albins 3rd, 4th, and super diff.
has just been engineer approved for the conversion, and in the process of getting RTA approval in S.A.
there's no reason for it to fail approval, so should pass NSW approval.
no longer has BRM's though, now has 17" ROH adrenaline's, which look like this.
