can some one tell me about head depth ( 1600 vw )
what is the stock depth of 1600 cc heads .I have a motor that the heads have been machined and no valve ajustment .how to you work out the correct
pision spacers .

IF i am understanding (well this is my understandine)
yes - when you machine the heads you looses head CC.
You then take metal out of the chamber to compensate the compression ratio.
I guess you could use shime under the barrel or head gasket
use this programme to work out what you want.
Pick the compression ratio you want
measure the deck height you have
measure the chamber of your heads
Then change something to set the CR
