Import an Engine??
Hey guys, i've been directed to a website thesamba.com to import an engine in from the states and been given free shipping? does anyone know about
importing from the US and if it's worth it or not? i currently have an 1835 VW engine with fuel injection (any thoughts on what they're worth?)
some of these engines look pretty good? How long would it take to install, are there many hidden costs ? etc etc. Any thoughts on these sorts of
issues would be appreciated??

What sort of engine you buying???
LONG way to ship back for warranty.
If it was a $10kUS Raby special..... may be
Otherwise buy it here.
What are you considering buying???
IF at all - maybe buy the parts and pay someone to build it here

WARNING you will have to check out the web site buyusno-no.com as U.S engines are for left hand drive vehicles and have crankshaft throws on the left
not the right. cheers:P:beer
