what are manifold's made out of?

whats the type 4 engines manifold made out of??pretty sure its aluminium just unsure

Not trying to be picky, but they're cast iron. Just incase your planning to weld on them (not so easy)

I made up a fuel injection manifold for my Type4-used the cast steel ends from the original fuel injection manifolds-these you can weld to.These ends will take 40mm OD exhaust pipe.

I think they are cast steel, not hard to weld at all.
