Cylinder wear on #3

The cylinders and piston on my 2.0l aircooled Kombi engine are all in very good shape except for #3 cylinder which has a bit of a lip at the top. It's not too bad and I have no qualms about using it again once I've had the lip taken off. My questions are:
1. Is it characteristic of these engines for #3 to wear more than the others ?
2. Would it be smart to relocate #3 cylinder to a different position, so that it doesn't wear even more and start causing problems ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

For some reason #3 always wears a little more, due to heat.

As above yes and yes.
