sand tyres?

Seeing how close I live to stockton beach, and that I really only use the baja on the beach, I was thinking a set of beach only tyres for the baja would be feasable, such as the smooth fronts with the single rib in the middle, and the big paddles on the back. but who sells these in Oz? Would they even work on a heavy baja?

Hi there,

had a mate that tried tractor tyres on a farm ute in 15" and they gribbed extremely well as expected but couldn't get balanced probably and shooked the sh#t out of you and the vehicle.

what about a motorcycle shop? Most of them sell paddle tyres but you might be restricted to using original 4.5 rims???

Hi Secoh,

I can get real paddle tyres(tires) for you but the cost will make you rethink what you are doing.....

e.g. 1350 x 15 is about $220us ea
and 450 x 15 rib or smoothy $60us ea

plus that not with all the inport cost and shipping

(31/10.50x15 look good now....lol)

Desert moose, thanks, I guessed that which is why I was wondering if anyone in Oz sold them. I don't really want to spend $2k on a set of tyres, but if they were available for a bit more than the cost of a set of offroad tyres I'd do it.
