Brake fluid resevoir
Ok, this may be a silly question, but..
I have a new plastic rectangular brake fluid resevoir marked with P/N 113.611.313.1 for my VW based Eureka.
The lid has a small hole in the centre and the black rubber bit that sits inside it also has four little holes. This means that the brake fluid in the
resevoir is not sealed from the outside atmosphere...
I thought that brake fluid had to be sealed from the atmosphere as it is hydroscopic, so what am I missing here??

Yeah but the resevoir needs to "breath" as well so as to not pressurize or form a vaccuum.
The hole is only a pin hole to limit airflow, and to stop moisture getting in.

On my bike, the resevoir has a rubber seal in the lid that is sort of ribbed so that as the fluid level goes down it concerteenas out like an upside
down pyramid.
I just thought that all resevoirs were sealed, so this is not the case & the VW one I have is ok?.
