Regulator

my kombi's regulator is stuffed I reckon. (?) keeps flattening the battery. I have tried 3 different ones on there and the last is near brand new and it drained that also. just not charging the battery (tell me if I;m on the wrong track here people). Anyway.......it's Sunday afternoon here in Adelaide (I'm in banksia park) and if anyone has one spare for sale I would really appreciate a call today..PLEASE!) need the car for work tomorrow.
cheers, ian

If you've tried 3 different ones, why do you still think it is the regulator causing the problem?

Check the voltage across the battery terminals while running the engine at 3,000 rpm. It should be 12.5-14.5 volts.

I would be charging the battery, checking the voltage, and then leaving it disconnected for 24 hours before re-checking the voltage. It is quite common for a battery to lose its ability to hold a charge. Check your terminals for corrosion also. :)
