WTD Wheels nuts to bolt my Dials on! FOUND!
I am in need of some wheel nuts to bolt my Porsche dials to my adapters. I have the 4 bolts to secure the adapters , 1 of which goes through the wheel
and adapter into the hub .
This bolt is about 45mm in length with a rounded bottom that meets the rim. I need 4 more for each rim and they would need to be shorter as they bolt
into the adapter and not the hub. The adapter is roughly 25mm thick and looking at the amount of extra length on the long bolt i'd say the 4 others
need to be about 10mm shorter
Been told that Porche ones are available at about $140:bounce
Mmmm getting bloody expensive , rims have got to be painted yet!!!! Bugger
Any ho i've been told that Combi ones fit. Who else has had these rims and what did you do.
If your in Sydney and have a pile of these hangin around please let me know.
Can collect Sydney , please anyone!!!
Cheers dan:o

kombi nuts do the job but look ordinary ,Ive heard that there is a (dare I say it) commodore nut cover (plastic) that fits over these but I cant
confirm this. You could try Sydney American Imports at Silverwater they will sell you some s/hand porsche nuts or new ones.:blah

Performance Wheels in Melbourne manufacture suitable ones i believe. Wolfsburg Automotive in Essendon (Melbourne) should stock them. |

VW even done plastic covers for the nuts- made to look like larger grey nuts with dome top, they came as standard with the ten spoke championship

Dan,
Vintage vee dub have kombi nuts which are steel and from memory they were also brand new and have the right taper for the porsche rims. They also have
the plastic holden cap to cover the nuts. I fitted these to my mates '67 bug with porsche fuchs and it looks fine. you would never know. He
originally had the porsche nuts and i believe they were titanium or some exotic alloy and they started to show their age, the kombi nuts were a cheap
replacement and work well.
Wayne.

Wayne just been to vintage and picked up some 2nd hand kombi ones. They have the right seat as you said and i have also picked up some plastic covers
to hide the nuts. They did have some nice shiny bolts but my rims are going black anyway so i got some black caps.
Cheers All for the help , god bless AVD!!!
