I am not necessarily supporting this (I want our dubs to stay here too), but maybe it is because they can't sell it to anyone here, or because they want more money than anyone will offer.

I am trying to sell my beetle (for the last month or so) and have not had one enquiry yet (it is a driver but also won a few shows). This is an option for some people who can't sell here but need to sell I guess?

OILDRIPPERS do not support selling VW to o.s,We also hate those trying to capitalize on VW,But when ya wanna sell somethings in AUS and no ones interested, anyones money is good,me I would prefer to keep it than sell it o.s. :kiss

Yeah....sad....but.....i "can" understand.

I guess if it is someone selling it or someone making a buck out of it and milking the system.

Then again, every $$ we can drag out of OS has goota be good for the economy

I think there's a big difference between a few old vans which you can't sell or don't think worth restoring coming over here (UK) to be loved and that kind of rip off selling.

The guy is trying to rip someone off and it ain't going to happen anyway. No one in their right mind is going to pay 5000 US plus shipping for a notch, unless it was a show winner ;) boo to that man... it's not in the spirt of veedubbers :(
