4 Kombis in 1 DAY!!

Friday we did the deed of fetching a Auto Bay Kombi, taking to the workshop, picking up a wreck, taking it to the scrappys, driving foe 160 round trip and picking up a splitty 1968, dropping it off at the workshop and finally loading another wreck up for the scrap man, heres some piccs of a great day..

The Auto, needed wheels.

Now the hard part, We had to put a beetle rear end in just to move it, that was a task ley me tell you!

Easy rear end

We came across this same prob a fair bit and the easy way to do a quick rear end for a split is get a piece of square steel lenght, cut it to same as the splitgearbox width, cutsome stub axels from rear of golf and weld to ends.
The bar will fit perfect in the bottom of the rail of the U shaped gearbox cradle, all you do is jack it up and stick it in,easy in and out.
