WTB: Heat Exchanger for 1600 engine
Hi.
I would like to make my heater function in my '71 microbus as it is missing the heat exchangers.
Has anybody got a pair?
I'm looking for them nearby in SE Queensland area so that I can pick up at a cheap price, like less than $40 a pair.
Thanks.

Thanks, blue74l.
I had seen the thread but thought they were bit too high for me ($200 a pair) since I saw a pair for $40 to start and no biddings made and ended at
eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4504285915...
I was told they were off from a 1200 engine and thanks to the thread telling the fact that there is a difference between 1200 and 1600 heat
exchangers.
So there I ended up putting up this thread mentioning my price preference since there seems many VW owners that disable heater unit around here,
saying "Oh, mate, it's a hot country here. You don't need a heater."
But, some night I surely wish I had one when it does get cold at night and it is just my fear from a freezing experience driving a Beetle (without a
heater working) on Interstate 79 and 70 in the U.S. when it was around zero degree (Fahranheit).
So anybody has got them around here for $40 or so a pair? Or am I pushing my luck so hard ??? We are headed to Summer now so it's maybe the time for
someone to take ones off from his/her car. eh?
If I can't find a good used pair around, I will order new ones from ClassicVW (pacific).
Yes, Roy, superb and splendid your old girl is running great!!! (^^)/
Thanks everyone.

Try the wreckers,
Places like Action Auto or Mick Motors (and others) often have reasonable used ones lying around

Thanks for the idea. (^^)
I went to Action Auto in Tingalpa and had a look at Kombi's they got.
I was also told that a wrecker in Ipswich has got a Kombi.
