irs rear end in to split


hey guys
my mechanic is wreckimg a 1972 type three wagon with irs ,will this fit into my 60 splitty some one said they don't they unbolt straight out of the wagon also he has lots of parts going ,very good bumbers panels chrome strips ,etc and pretty cheap as well any advice would be great

hello
thanks for that information ,my vw mechanic with 30 years experience seems to say it will go in my splitty,what are the reasons why it won't go or should not go ,he is a fairly standard operater ,does not like modified at all so any ideas here

wow that is a lot to absorb but i guess you have done it i will print this out and take it out to paul and see what he says
i am not htat big on the mechanical side ,an engine swap is my limit this is really good of you to make the time for such a detailed reply

Oooucchhh, that hurt waltermitty......got home from work ...turned the TV on to the cricket and....it was finished.
Being a Kiwi I also like a bit of English cricket team bashing.
