Turbo gets chipped
Had the NB chipped last Saturday in Adelaide just B4 catching a plane to the Vic VDub show and was hanging out to belt it. Driving around town it felt
unreal with minimum throttle it just took off and 60k's comes up real quick. It was dark when we got home Sunday so the 400km trip was fairly sedate
but it seems to pull real hard from 110 also.Supposedly now putting out 200 horsepower up from the 150 standard. Love the little yellow bastard even
more now.

Your bug looks hot..wot wheels are they...size?
Hey i dont know the conversion of horse's to kilowatts. Whats yours in kilowatts now?
Fun driving
BTW when your going really fast, the radio turns down and the roof close's...funny hey...i think it suppose to give ya more concentration on the road

You were giggling-should have been with me when I first tested it-couldn't believe the difference. It took about 10 minutes and all he did was plug
his laptop into the port by the throttle pedal-unreal.The difference in accelaration is amazing and it comes on so smooth.I have an early Mitsubishi
Starion which I had doctored and it's power comes on with a rush about 3,000 rpm but the NB comes on from just above idle. When we tested it he still
had his laptop hooked up and with a short squirt in the Burbs to about 100 kph the boost got up to 1.28Bar which I think is about 16psi.I think the
standard boost is cut off at about 6psi.He is claiming HP of 205 which is somewhere just under 150KW(I think)No I'm not a Yuppie-just love all
VW's.My Oval under rebuild now will be putting out enough HP to blow the NB away(again hoping with only about 800kg's compared to 1250kg's for the
NB)Didn't know the radio went down when the roof closed. My rear spoiler is causing grief- used to come up at about 145kph but no light on the
dash-after 3 attempts to fix it by the Dealer, still no light and it now comes up at 160 kph which they claim is impossible-come for a spin was my
response. They should be able to run it up on a hoist to check it but the latest is I have to leave it there for a few days for them. It's a real pain
because I am 400K's from Adelaide. The wheels are genuine VW (Toccata) and 17's and from memory were 7.5 wide

No had Revo chip upgrade.Have the fixed genuine VW spoiler as well fitted. My Turbo spoiler is supposed to come up at 145K's and the light should come
on solid( not flashing) and go out below about 130K's when it retracts. The light comes on and blinks when stationary and using the dash switch. They
changed the deployment speed to 80K's (45mph) sometime late 03,early 04 from consumer pressure in Seppo land because their spoilers were never coming
up due to speed restrictions and I guess a lot of wank factor because coming up at 90mph,nobody would be able to perv on them. There is some worry now
by VWoA that there may be serious premature wear of the pivots and links. The hand book states that a fixed spoiler shouldn't be fitted to Turbo's
because of stability problems, but I have found the car to be really stable when giving it short bursts up to 200. I apparantly now have another 40kph
top speed to play with.

well see ive read off the dubcessories.com website that they wont sell you a spoiler if you have a turbo. This affects the aero dynamics and they have
had quite a few crash and roll....really weird. So i wasnt game to put another spoiler on this one, i had a really schmick one on the white bug.
