Kombi tour report.
We just got back from a two week tour in the Helbus. We went up central Vic then to Snowy mountains, Canberra, Sydney, Bathurst, then back to Coast
and all along Hwy 1 back to Melbourne. 3000 kms, and the new motor is still purring sweetly.
We slept in it nearly every night.
Only problem was a wheel bearing, but got a new one and put it on myself. Also had to adjust the points.
Best fuel consumption was 469km filled up 48litres which is 10.23 litres per 100km. Average over trip was 11.4 l/100km. The Kombi ran best on Mobil
Synergy 8000 firstly and very very closely Optimax, PULP was not as good.
Just my observations and calculations.
Its good to be back, and I will post on.

Kruizin
You haven't actually said whether you enjoyed the trip or not, but good to hear you didn't have any major problems. :thumb
ps. The starter motor problem is fixed, but I'm still interested if you're still selling... I'll call you when I'm coming down
your way next.

Yes Colin, we enjoyed every day of it. The coast was the best. The weather was just spot on every day, and getting oysters fresh off the rocks in
Merimbula was definitly something I wont forget in a hurry.
And yes James the jack was very handy, as it was used twice. I say you should always be prepared.
