bay kombi door locks??
hey i have a 74 bay kombi and the previous owner lost the key!!!! so
i was told to take all the locks (front 2 doors, slide door, engine lid, rear hatch locks) to a lock smith and he will make my ignition key fit all
the locks. is this true???
next question... there is one slight problem, my sliding door and rear hatch lock are buggerd!! am i able to get replacements for them?? or will this
just make it harder for the lock smith to change the key pattern?? or doesnt it matter at all??if i do get replacement locks for the sliding and rear
hatch locks will it be a problem at all???
any help would be great
thanks

1 - yes, that is true, provided the locks are in good condition you can have there internals modified to suit any key that you have.
2 - just got to a good VW spares shop or wrecker and you should have no probs finding useable replacements.
