Kombi fuel sender unit???


well im pretty sure my fuel sender unit no longer works in my 74 bay, so does any one know how to get to it with out taking the engine out? i heard of drilling a hole on the hump but ummm... where???, also how much does one of these cost etc???

I wrote where to cut the hole ages ago if you do a search.
Roughly it's central left to right, and right on the front corner of the back "deck" You need to cut a hole ~100mm square/round to get the sender out without removing the tank. It's an ugly fix, but saves pulling the motor.
Senders at a rough guess are ~$100??
Before you do this check the rest out though, just to be sure it's the sender!

yeah ok then sounds good, is there a panel where i can patch the hole at all? able to buy one???
how do i check if the rest of the system works???
