Has anyone used John Deere satin/blitz black
Looking at painting the notch over the break
Has anybody used John deere satin black also known as blitz black.
If not what else have you had success with.

I have used John Deere Blitz Black over the years on many jobs... it doesn't need an undercoat...
I painted the sills on a Lancer I rallied many years ago....
and lots of other places.... I painted many different surfaces with it.... goes on very easily..... wasn't too expensive....
It never peeled off....
Just make sure the surface is free from wax etc....
I painted a bull bar and wheels with it many years ago...
Its Not Glossy.... but its not really flat either.....
a Brilliant pressure pack paint...

You will have to look up John Deere .... on the internet...

im just about 2 use a protec604 product wich is a matt to semi gloss 2packpaint sticks well and wear well and can b washed 2 get rid of all the bug
splater its going on my kombi

I was thinking of doing mine in Rust guard, comes in many colours, is glossy or you can get flat black and it's great for bare metal. About $70 for 4
litres and you can use it without any primer.

are these products UV stabilised.
I've heard that the blitz black is hard wearing and has a nice satin finish but is difficult to get other paint to stick to.
Might hamper things when I want to do flame job.

matt paint
theres a product called flatten base which can be added to acrylics or 2pak to give you a saten or matt look but allso had wearing and won,t sheen up.
Adelade company called Spray Chiefs make a line of saten and matt finishes.
