Mmmm Ebay

If you put something for sale on AVD at a price and then also put it on ebay why bother?

I see something on avd at a price , want to buy it but can't as it's on auction !

Don't know how many times this has been brought up and i'd like to know your thoughts.

Sorry just shits me!

Dan;)

Bog off noddy i have a point!

Either put them ebay or avd. You ask a price on avd , get the price but can't sell due to being on a auction.

Sorry don't know if it's just me but that doesn't make sense for the buyer:bounce

in most cases, people offer it on the forum first, in which case if it sells good, before listing on ebay, or list on ebay and will inform forum members of the auction. either way theres nothing wrong with both methods. very rarely will an item be listed for sale on the forum and be listed for sale on ebay, in which case, the seller is looking for trouble cos either a forum member of a potential ebay buyer is going to get the shits...

Presume you are talking about me mate.
Well I put the Type 3 Guards on here and had no interest so then I listed them on E-bay which it states in the post.
It`s usually a case of people not reading the full post.
The ammount of times I`ve had people contact me saying I`d like to buy something that I have clearly stated is on e-bay.
That shits me.
Graham.

I rekon the seller can do whatever they want with them in regards to a sale. If you want it that bad then buy it off ebay!!! It belongs to the seller so why whinge about it???:duh

Or you post item on avd for sale at a fair & reasonable price & all you get is D$#kheads wanting something for nothing comming up with insult offers & getting upset when you tell them to ..... this is why ebay exists & does so well.
happy new year to all.

My 2 cents worth.
Too many people on this site want things for nothing and then want to sell things for silly over the top prices.

Sellers are doing members a favour offering it here first, if it doesnt sell or you get too many tyre kickers put it on E-bay.

You have had your chance, if you miss it , hard luck.

At leasty most put a link to the e-bay site, again doing members a favour.

Cheers

And just for the record mate, you offered me $180, they are currently on e-bay at $150, they possibly will not go any higher than that so it`s me that will lose out on this!
Have a look at how many ads on here have repiles saying "I`ll have first dibs" or "if whoever doesn`t want it then I`ll take it" , "ooh I`m 3rd in line please". Then just see how many of these are re-advertised still for sale.
With e-bay you are obliged to pay for something that you bid on, it holds a bit more certainty for the seller.
Can`t believe I`m sitting here wasting my time justifying myself to someone.
Bull shit.
Cheers
Graham

57 Cook shed as said they are your parts so you can do what you like , even if it is to list them on AVD for less than 24hrs then e bay.

Yes i offered you $180 , normally what you do when you buy things , quite obviously i'd go to $200 as that was what you wanted.

I sent you a u2u at the time of posting stating it wasn't a personal dig and that i've been ripped off lately with this senario. Honest enough i think.

Buying and selling is shite at the best of times and i'm sorry to upset you but i just prefer the idea of actually being able to buy something if it's put up for sale.

As i don't use ebay looks like i can't buy them . I'll just keep an eye out and somehow if they don't sell and return to avd.

no worries Graham
