I reckon Baja's Rock for the waves. I guess people dont see em often. They are good head turners, with the 4 x 4 tyres on the rear and little
skinny's of the front.
My baja was so loud you could hear from a mile away. I liked to do the local cruise strips, gotta watch out for the coppa's though.

When I drive my 4x4 other 4x4 driver's wave to me, and since i got a XR8 falcon I've had 4 other XR8's wave to me.
When I'm in my Baja I always get Beetle's waving to me so I guess it's what you drive and the other driver's see a brother hood. |

Geesus - that describes just about evert third redneck mobile here in Dubbo. They all got lost last weekend as the police had a blitz. Two choppers -
30 cars - 5 4x4's and a RBT bus. Three motel loads of cops. Needless to say the Baja didn't move all weekend.
I don't get waves in the Dog-O-War at all. I dont know why. Of the few waves I have got it always been in the country and from somebody in a
kombi.
When I get a buggy I'll get more waves I guess. I suppose bug owners don't take to kindly to their beetles getting the chop front and
back.
Never got waves in Newcastle and never see many beetles in Dubbo!

Up here in Brissie 90% of beetle owners wave back when i'm in the beetle.
have always wondered about the kombi driver snobbery, i have only ever had 1 kombi wave back and that was a single cab splitty with targa tasmania
support vehicle stickers all over it, it was way cool.
fellow bad little buggers also wave back no matter what they drive |

The first time I took my ex for a drive in the Kombi, I said 'watch this, if we see another Kombi I bet the driver will wave to us.' Sure
enough.
Why? she asked me. Because Kombi owners are very special, I said. We're like an exclusive club.
Hmm, she said, That's really weird.
No wonder she's my ex.

wave to all
i wave to all aircooled vws and to all new beetles.
i waved to a cool 356 the other day and the guy looked at me like i was silly.
i couldnt help thinking that he was the silly one cos he didnt wave back.
i usually get smile or waves back. generally kombis wave back more often than enyone else.
nbs, fasts and squares usally look surprised/confused and probably figure it out after ive gone past.

My fellow V dubber friend told me that he pulled up next to a early 911 and any way the dude in the 911 said to my friend
"second best car in the world"
looking at his beetle
i think the guy in the 911 got a bit of a scare when my mate got the jump off the line (his car is worked 1835), but my mate did lose in the end hehe

I wave to other air-cooled drivers, but I don't wave to Aussie Conv beetles or NB's. Am I a waving snob? I will wave to the odd Golf if I
recognise the car.
