Accelerator pedal parts

My accelerator pedal is missing some parts, it jams forward at times and there doesn't seem to be an even movement back and forth. I'm guessing I need to fix the parts between the pedal and the base, any suggestions where I can find these parts?:o

Howdy. Mines a 65 bug, I don't know much about what would be suitable. I'm just learning about VW's, talk about a steep learning curve!!!

check your carbie springs are ok and effective

then get under the car near gbx and see if the cable is twisted around anything wile someone operates the pedal

also clear all sand and gravel from under pedal

check and grease up the hinge and keep it clean

the pedal also has a primitive return spring which should operate but may be broken

cheers
